BlackTemple is a paid VPN service from Telegram. It has the bot @blacktemple_space_bot (57,476 monthly users), a channel with 47.7 thousand subscribers and its own BLACKTEMPLE app for iPhone, Mac, Android and Windows. The app itself is free, while the key is bought in the bot or in the personal account at blacktemple.online. Billing is daily: the BlackRock plan costs from 4.5 rubles a day. If you need a service where the app and the servers come from one provider, without bots and without buying keys separately, we recommend BessyConnect. Below is everything about BlackTemple that we could verify from primary sources as of October 27, 2026.
BlackTemple consists of two parts: a free client app in the App Store and Google Play and a paid network of servers, access to which is sold through a Telegram bot. In the app stores the developer is listed as the sole proprietor Mikaya Irakli Guramovich (that's how the name is written in the listings), and on Google Play the developer's address is Moscow.
What the project says about itself in the channel description: the project is 4.5 years old, there are more than 1,320 servers, it has its own apps for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows, and supports TVs and routers. In a post from June 27, 2026, the team described its makeup: 6 developers, 2 system administrators and 12 support specialists. We can't verify these numbers; they are the service's own words.
The same developer has two more apps in the App Store: eSIM.BLACK for travelers and CheapChat. Alongside it exists the project PRAY NETWORK: its channel publishes the same news about BLACKTEMPLE updates, and the support account in its description serves both projects.
Be careful with the store descriptions. There BLACKTEMPLE is presented as a client that "does not provide its own servers", and the privacy policy on blacktemple.app calls it a non-commercial free app. That's true of the program itself, but not of the service as a whole: the project sells keys and plans through the bot. There are many similar "key from Telegram" services; we covered how they work in the review of people's VPNs.
The official addresses are the ones the @blacktemple_space channel itself links to: the bot @blacktemple_space_bot, the personal account blacktemple.online and the app site blacktemple.app. In its posts the channel calls this bot "the only bot for connecting". Everything else with a similar name is a namesake or a copycat.
We opened the public pages on October 27, 2026:
| Address | What it is | Connected to BlackTemple? |
|---|---|---|
| @blacktemple_space_bot | The bot "BLACKTEMPLE", 57,476 monthly users | Yes, the channel calls it the only one |
| @blacktemple_space | Channel, 47,684 subscribers | Yes |
| blacktemple.online | Personal account, web version of the bot | Yes, listed in every channel post |
| blacktemple.app | App site with the privacy policy | Yes, the App Store links to it |
| A channel named "@blacktemple_space_bot" | 5 subscribers, its only post leads to another VPN's bot | No |
| The channel "BLACKTEMPLE VPN" | 2 subscribers, no posts | Not confirmed |
| Bots with "blacktemple" and "vpn" in the name | No description, the channel doesn't link to them | Not confirmed |
| blacktemple.ru | ООО «БЛЭК ТЭМПЛ» (Black Temple LLC), a mobile game studio from Saint Petersburg | No, a different company |
| blacktemple.space | Subscription access to ChatGPT | Not a VPN |
The nastiest trap is a channel whose name contains the real bot's address while inside there's a link to someone else's service. Check the address character by character: the correct one is written with an underscore, blacktemple_space_bot. Why fake apps and bots are dangerous is covered in detail in the article on fake VPN apps.
Also don't confuse BlackTemple with the Black Temple raid from World of Warcraft or with the blackVPN service. The names are a coincidence.
The app is free, but access to the servers is paid and is deducted from the balance daily. The help section of the personal account at blacktemple.online says: the BlackRock plan is "from 4.5 rub/day", that is, about 135 rubles for 30 days. Prices for the two other plans are not given in the public part of the account.
| Plan | What the account's help section promises | Price |
|---|---|---|
| BlackEasy | Up to 50 MB/s, a random European country | Not published |
| BlackRock | Up to 200 MB/s, Europe or Russia, a whitelist mode | From 4.5 ₽ a day |
| Mystery | Up to 1–5 GB/s, 10 countries to choose from | Not published |
Important terms from the same help section and from the channel:
There is no free plan in the documents. Discounts are given for subscribing to the project's channels and for inviting friends. The catalog vpnstatus.site says "from 72 ₽/month" and "no trial period", but that is a third-party catalog, not the service's data.
The official sources are: the App Store and Google Play for phones and Mac, and for Windows and the Android APK, the BLACKTEMPLE-SPACE repositories on GitHub that the channel links to. The channel gives no link to the Microsoft Store: the Windows version is an .exe file.
| Platform | Where to get it | What we checked |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone | App Store, the BLACKTEMPLE app | Version 1.3.18 of 14.10.2026, iOS 16 and newer, available in the Russian App Store |
| Mac | The same App Store listing | Only Macs with Apple M1 and newer, macOS 13+ |
| Android, Android TV | Google Play, com.BlackTemple.blacktemple | 100K+ downloads, updated 14.10.2026 |
| Android without Google Play | APK on GitHub | Build 1.3.18 posted 19.10.2026 |
| Windows | .exe on GitHub | Release 1.3.18 of 19.10.2026 |
| Linux | No client of its own | The account's help section recommends Happ |
Two details for PC. The "Installing on Windows" guide in the personal account leads to the March build 1.3.2, while the fresh one is in a neighboring release of the same repository, so check the version number. And the proprietary Black protocol, according to the account's help section, doesn't work on Windows 7, Linux and Intel Macs; VLESS remains there. Don't download APK and .exe files from other sites: you won't be able to verify that it's the same build inside.
A key (KEY) is issued for each device and stored in the personal account: in the bot @blacktemple_space_bot or at blacktemple.online. The bot sends the login and password for the site in its welcome message and in response to the /more command. The bot and site accounts are separate, and the balance in them may differ, so look for the key where you topped up.
The steps, according to the account's help section:
If an ordinary VLESS key doesn't refresh, the service suggests switching to its own Black-Key format: with it, the app shows the balance, payment and a switch for the whitelist mode. The key is your personal access, so don't forward it to anyone. How VPN keys and subscriptions work in general is explained in the guide on VPN keys.
Most often the cause is in one of five places: a negative balance, an outdated app version or the VLESS protocol, a conflict with other programs, an outage on the service's side, or a complete mobile internet shutdown. Go in order:
If even ya.ru won't open without a VPN, the problem isn't BlackTemple: mobile internet is restricted entirely, and the channel itself described this scenario on May 5, 2026. The whitelist mode exists only on BlackRock, and in Google Play reviews from August and September 2026, users complain that it doesn't work for them. What whitelists are and why most VPNs can't cope with them is covered in a separate article. A general checklist is in the article why a VPN isn't working.
According to the store declarations, the app doesn't collect data: the App Store shows the "Data Not Collected" label, and Google Play shows "No data collected" and "No data shared with third parties". These are the developer's statements; neither Apple nor Google verifies them.
What else can be checked:
BlackTemple has strengths too: an app in the official stores, frequent updates (22 versions in the App Store from June 2025 to October 2026), a Windows client, an open outage log in the channel and a detailed help section in the personal account.
BessyConnect suits those who don't want to watch a daily balance, switch protocols and double-check bot addresses. Here the app and the servers come from one provider, and everything is installed from the official stores.
What is known about BessyConnect:
Where to download:
What can replace BlackTemple: a comparison based on what can be verified as of 27.10.2026:
| BessyConnect | BlackTemple | INCY | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | The app and servers of one service | A free client + paid keys from a Telegram bot | A client; the key has to be bought from a third-party service |
| Protocol | VLESS with Reality camouflage | Proprietary Black, VLESS, Trojan | Depends on the key |
| How to try it | Trial period | No free plan | Depends on the service |
| Devices | — | One key per device, each paid for separately | Depends on the service |
| Windows | No app | Yes, .exe from GitHub | — |
| iPhone with a Russian Apple ID | No, an Apple ID from another country is needed | Available in the Russian App Store | Available in the Russian App Store |
| Apple TV | Yes | Not listed in the App Store listing | — |
Where BlackTemple is stronger, to put it plainly. It has a Windows client, and BessyConnect has no Windows app. On an iPhone with a Russian Apple ID, BlackTemple installs right away, while BessyConnect isn't in the Russian App Store, so you'll need an Apple ID from another country. INCY is in the table for those who want to keep their key and change only the app; we have a separate review of it.
And an honest limit. If mobile internet is shut off entirely, neither BlackTemple, nor BessyConnect, nor any other VPN will help. We can't help you get back money sent to a copycat bot.
If your BlackTemple is paid for and works, there's no urgent reason to switch. But if you're tired of watching a daily balance, switching protocols and checking whether it's the right bot, try BessyConnect: you'll find the app for your device on the download page, and the trial period lets you test the service before paying.
Is BlackTemple VPN free? The app is free, access to the servers is paid. According to the personal account's help section, the BlackRock plan costs from 4.5 rubles a day; there is no free plan in the service's documents.
Where are the official BlackTemple VPN site and bot? The bot @blacktemple_space_bot, the channel @blacktemple_space, the personal account blacktemple.online and the app site blacktemple.app. The channel calls this bot the only one and doesn't mention other bots and channels with similar names.
Can I download BlackTemple for PC? Yes, for Windows there is an .exe installer in the BLACKTEMPLE-SPACE repository on GitHub, version 1.3.18 of October 19, 2026. For Mac the app comes from the App Store, but only on computers with Apple M1 and newer. For Linux the service recommends the Happ client.
How many devices can be connected to one BlackTemple key? One. According to the account's help section, the rule is "one key, one device"; each additional device is paid for separately at the chosen plan's rate.
What can replace BlackTemple? We recommend BessyConnect: the app and servers of one service in the App Store and Google Play, VLESS with Reality camouflage and a trial period. But BessyConnect has no Windows app, and it isn't in the Russian App Store either.
