Kavkaz VPN (in Russian «Кавказ ВПН», "Caucasus VPN") isn't one app but at least two independent services with similar names. KavkazVPN on kavkazvpn.ru sells a subscription with a VLESS key for the Happ and INCY apps: from 199 rubles a month, with the first 5 days free and no card required. Kavkaz VPN on kavkazvpn.com works through the Telegram bot @kavkazvpnbot, and its plans start from 149 rubles a month. Neither of them has its own app in the App Store. We checked all the data below against the sites, documents and app stores on October 26, 2026.
If you need a VPN where you don't have to find a key separately and install someone else's client, we recommend BessyConnect: its own app, the VLESS protocol with Reality camouflage, registration optional.
| Parameter | KavkazVPN (kavkazvpn.ru) | Kavkaz VPN (kavkazvpn.com) |
|---|---|---|
| What it sells | A subscription with a VLESS key for Happ, INCY and similar clients | A subscription via a Telegram bot, also connected through Happ |
| Where to sign up | Site, personal account, bot @kavkaz_vpnbot | Bot @kavkazvpnbot and the site |
| Price per month | 199 ₽ (basic plan) | 149 ₽ (basic plan) |
| Trial period | 5 days and 100 GB without a card | Not found in the documents |
| Own app in the App Store | No | No |
| Legal entity on the site | Not stated | Not stated |
| Domain registered | 10.01.2026 | 17.11.2025 |
The name coincides with the region, but the demand in Yandex suggestions is specifically brand-driven: people search for «кавказ впн ключ» (kavkaz vpn key), «кавказ впн хапп» (kavkaz vpn happ), «кавказ впн пробный период» (kavkaz vpn trial period). If you were looking for which VPN works in Dagestan or Chechnya during mobile internet shutdowns, that is a separate topic. We covered it in the article on whether a VPN helps when mobile internet is shut down.
Both services sell access to their own servers, and the connection goes through a third-party client, most often Happ. KavkazVPN on kavkazvpn.ru states outright that it isn't the developer of Happ and doesn't distribute it. Neither of the two sites gives the name of the company or sole proprietor providing the service.
KavkazVPN (kavkazvpn.ru). According to WHOIS, the domain was registered on January 10, 2026, through REG.RU to a private individual. The user agreement and privacy policy are dated September 26, 2026. Support works through the bot @kavkaz_vpnbot and a chat in the personal account. On its servers page the service claims 76 servers in 22 countries, most of them in the Netherlands (26) and Poland (8). The same page shows a counter "22,748 people online now", but this is the service's own data and can't be verified.
Kavkaz VPN (kavkazvpn.com). The domain was registered on November 17, 2025, and WHOIS lists the organization Esmars Media from Thailand. The site footer says "Powered by theVPN.org", and the domain's DNS servers also belong to theVPN.org. That is a builder that promises to launch your own VPN service "in 2 minutes" with ready-made servers, a bot, a site and payments. So Kavkaz VPN is one of this platform's storefronts. The site claims "1,069+ users" and operation "since 2022", although the domain appeared at the end of 2025.
There are other things under this name too:
How to tell such copies from the original is described in our article on fake VPN apps. Similar services that live in Telegram and on other people's clients are collected in our review of popular VPNs in Russia.
KavkazVPN (kavkazvpn.ru) has a free trial period: 5 days and 100 GB of traffic, no bank card needed, given once per user. The paid plans differ in traffic volume and number of devices. Prices on the plans page are as of September 26, 2026:
| Term | Basic (250 GB/month, up to 3 devices) | Premium (500 GB/month, up to 5 devices) | Ultra (1 TB/month, up to 10 devices) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 month | 199 ₽ | 499 ₽ | 999 ₽ |
| 3 months | 499 ₽ | 1,249 ₽ | 2,499 ₽ |
| 6 months | 899 ₽ | 2,249 ₽ | 4,499 ₽ |
| 12 months | 1,599 ₽ | 3,999 ₽ | 7,999 ₽ |
| 24 months | 2,799 ₽ | 6,999 ₽ | 13,999 ₽ |
Payment is by card or via SBP (Russia's Faster Payments System), and there are no automatic charges: the next period is paid manually. Under the agreement, a refund is possible only if access wasn't provided or the service wasn't rendered through the service's fault. You must apply within 24 hours of payment.
The trial period terms are described differently on the site. The free subscription page says that during the trial one device and a "limited choice of servers" are available. But the servers page says the list of locations is the same on any plan and during the trial. Check with support before paying.
At Kavkaz VPN (kavkazvpn.com), prices are loaded onto the page from the platform's settings. The Basic plan (3 devices, 150 GB a month) costs 149 rubles a month, 402 rubles for 3 months, 751 rubles for six months and 1,323 rubles for a year. Premium (5 devices, 220 GB) costs from 490 rubles a month, and Ultra (10 devices, 300 GB) from 980 rubles. Under the refund policy, a request can be submitted within 7 days, and the amount may be reduced in proportion to the period used.
The key is issued in the KavkazVPN personal account right after you register and activate the trial or pay. You don't need to look for a separate key for each server: all available locations come in one subscription link.
How to connect following KavkazVPN's instructions:
According to the service, the same key works in INCY, v2rayNG, Streisand and FoXray. When you renew, the key and link don't change. You can also get the key in the bot @kavkaz_vpnbot. What a vless:// key is and where to paste it in different apps is explained in our article on a VLESS key for a VPN.
You can't download Kavkaz VPN as a separate app: for both services the client is Happ. On October 26, 2026, a search of the App Store in Russia, the US and Kazakhstan found no apps named Kavkaz VPN.
There is a complication with Happ on iPhone. As of October 26, 2026, the app Happ - Proxy Utility (seller Flyfrog LLC) isn't in the Russian App Store, and KavkazVPN links to its page in the Kazakhstan store. That means you need an Apple ID from another country. The Russian App Store has the app «Happ VPN: ВПН плюс» (Happ VPN: VPN plus) from MAX CONCEPT TECHNOLOGY LIMITED, but that is a different seller; don't confuse it with the original.
On Android, Happ is on Google Play (Happ - Proxy Utility, 10M+ downloads), and KavkazVPN additionally gives a link to the APK on the developer's GitHub. For Windows the service sends you to Happ's official site. More on the client itself is in our Happ VPN review.
The YouFast VPN app on Google Play with the package kavkazvpn.app is only a client without its own servers. A KavkazVPN or Kavkaz VPN subscription will work in it only if you have already bought one.
Most often the problem is one of three things: the trial period or subscription has ended, the monthly traffic is used up (for example, 250 GB on the Basic plan) or the server has stopped responding. The KavkazVPN agreement states outright that the service doesn't guarantee the availability of specific sites or uninterrupted operation.
What KavkazVPN itself recommends:
If the VPN has stopped connecting only on mobile internet and works over Wi-Fi, the carrier may have switched on whitelists. In that mode almost any VPN stops working, not just Kavkaz VPN. Other common causes of failures are collected in the article why a VPN isn't working.
KavkazVPN does have documents, but they don't name the provider, and we found no independent audit. So the claim that "no logs are kept" can only be taken on trust. This is the usual situation for services that sell keys through a site and a bot.
What KavkazVPN says about data in its policy of September 26, 2026. It collects your phone number, email or Telegram ID, device type and OS, app version, technical connection parameters and errors, and your history of support requests and payments. According to the service, it doesn't store visited sites, traffic content or search queries. At the same time, the agreement reserves the administration's right to respond to lawful requests from government bodies and rights holders, "including the provision of information".
Kavkaz VPN on kavkazvpn.com contradicts itself. The FAQ on the home page says you can connect 10 devices on the Basic plan and 3 on Premium. The plans page says the opposite: 3 on Basic, 5 on Premium and 10 on Ultra. The "About" page promises "up to 4 devices" and "no traffic limits", although every plan has a cap of 150 to 300 GB. The home page markup shows a rating of 4.8 from 100 ratings, but the site doesn't explain where they came from.
You need a replacement if Kavkaz VPN's servers won't connect on your network, the traffic caps don't suit you, or you can't install Happ on your iPhone. The table includes only facts we checked on October 26, 2026.
| BessyConnect | KavkazVPN (.ru) | Kavkaz VPN (.com) | Sota Connect | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| How to connect | Its own app | Key in Happ, INCY etc. | Subscription in Happ | Its own app, sign-in with a key |
| Trial period | Yes | 5 days, 100 GB, no card | Not found | Not checked |
| Protocol | VLESS with Reality camouflage | VLESS with Reality (according to the service) | VLESS Reality, VMess, Trojan, Shadowsocks (according to the service) | Not named on the listing |
| Registration | Optional | Phone, email or Telegram | Telegram | Access key |
| Russian App Store | No | No app of its own, and no Happ either | No app of its own | Yes, rating 4.6 |
| Windows | No | Via Happ | Via Happ | Not checked |
Where competitors are stronger, to put it plainly. KavkazVPN has a transparent price grid, a trial period with a clear term and a key that works in any compatible client, including on Windows via Happ. Kavkaz VPN has the cheapest basic plan in this table, 149 rubles a month. Sota Connect (seller Cat Connect Oy) can be downloaded from the Russian App Store without changing your Apple ID.
BessyConnect suits anyone who doesn't want to piece together a site with keys, a bot and a third-party client. Everything works in one app: the VLESS protocol with Reality camouflage, which makes traffic look like an ordinary HTTPS connection, more than 100 servers, no logs kept, registration optional, and a trial period.
BessyConnect apps:
What BessyConnect doesn't solve. It has no Windows app, and here a KavkazVPN key in Happ for Windows is more convenient. BessyConnect isn't in the Russian App Store either: on an iPhone you need an Apple ID from another country, just as for Happ. If mobile internet is switched to whitelists or shut down completely, a VPN as a rule doesn't help, and that applies to any service.
If Kavkaz VPN connects reliably for you and the price suits you, there is no reason to switch. But if the trial has ended, you are running out of traffic or fiddling with keys and Happ is a hassle, try BessyConnect: all versions are gathered on the download page.
Are Kavkaz VPN and kavkazvpn.ru one service? No, at least two services operate under this name: KavkazVPN on kavkazvpn.ru with the bot @kavkaz_vpnbot and Kavkaz VPN on kavkazvpn.com with the bot @kavkazvpnbot. They have different prices, documents and domain registration dates.
