Kola VPN («Кола ВПН», COLA VPN) is a paid VPN service sold through the Telegram bot @colavpnbot and the site tgcola.app. It has no app of its own: after paying, you get a key and paste it into a client such as Happ or INCY. A month costs 100 ₽ (the price was announced in the service's channel on August 6, 2026), new users get 24 hours free, and extra time can be "tapped out" in a mini-game with a cola bottle cap.
Under the same name there is at least one more Telegram service, ColaVPN, with its own tapping game, and a Cola VPN app on Google Play from a different publisher. Below: who is who, the prices and what to do if the VPN won't connect.
If you need a VPN with its own app in the App Store and Google Play that names its protocol openly, we recommend BessyConnect. Details are in the section about it.
COLA VPN is a young service: its Telegram channel @cola_vpn was created on May 15, 2026, and by October 26 it had 5,327 subscribers. No legal entity, tax number (INN) or address is given on the site, and who is behind the service has not been publicly disclosed.
The official resources are listed in the channel's pinned post: the bot @colavpnbot, the channel @cola_vpn, the sites tgcola.app and mycola.app, and support @colavpn_sup from 9:00 to 22:00 Moscow time. According to the .app domain registry, tgcola.app was registered on May 27, 2026, and mycola.app on September 8, 2026. A third domain, getcola.app, redirects to the same personal account.
| Parameter | What the service's sources say (as of 26.10.2026) |
|---|---|
| Where to sign up | The bot @colavpnbot, the site tgcola.app, the account at mycola.app |
| Own app | No, a key for third-party clients (Happ, INCY) |
| Platforms on the site | iOS, Android, macOS, Windows |
| Price | 100 ₽ a month (since August 6, 2026) |
| Free access | 24 hours on registering by email, the tapping game, a roulette |
| Number of devices | "Up to 5" in the channel on August 3, "up to 10" on the site on October 26; extra ones for a fee |
| Protocol | Not named |
| Special modes | "Smart routing" for Russian services, "freedom mode" for networks with whitelists |
| Legal entity | Not stated |
"Smart routing", according to the service's description, lets banks, Gosuslugi (the government services portal) and marketplaces go directly and sends everything else through the tunnel. Other apps call this split tunneling. Note the confusion in terms: on the site "freedom mode" is the name for exactly this routing, while in the channel it refers to paid servers for networks with whitelists.
We found at least five unrelated products under this name. Only the address tells them apart: COLA VPN's bot is @colavpnbot (no underscore), while the namesake ColaVPN's is @colavpn_bot. The spelling "ColaVPN" itself proves nothing; both use it.
| Name | Where | What is known (26.10.2026) | Connection to COLA VPN |
|---|---|---|---|
| COLA VPN | @colavpnbot, @cola_vpn, tgcola.app | Channel since 15.05.2026, 5,327 subscribers | This is it |
| ColaVPN | @colavpn_bot, channel @colavpn_news, site colavpn.space | According to the owners, the channel was created on 3.12.2025; 3,586 subscribers; Base, Pro and Premium plans | A separate service |
| Cola VPN | Google Play | Publisher VPN V2RAY, 5K+ downloads, rating 3.1 from 7 reviews | Neither Telegram service links to it |
| Kola VPN — Rapide & Privé | App Store (France), Google Play | LTC GROUP SARL, interface in French, a network for Africa and China | Unrelated, absent from the Russian App Store |
| Kolo VPN: fast & safe | Google Play | Publisher mehranyom, 100K+ downloads, contains ads | Unrelated, but shows up in searches for «кола впн скачать» ("kola vpn download") |
There are also small bots with similar names: @cola_vpnbot, @cola_vpn_bot, @kolavpn_bot (sells access for Telegram Stars), and the channel @colavpn in Persian. COLA VPN itself warns in its channel description: "Beware of fakes and clones", and in a separate post of June 2, 2026, names @colavpnbot as its only bot.
The confusion is made worse by the fact that both Telegram services have a tapping game with a cola cap. COLA VPN's appeared on June 28, 2026, ColaVPN's on August 24. What you risk by paying a lookalike is covered in the article on how to recognize a fake VPN app.
And about the queries themselves. «Кол впн» ("kol vpn") in Wordstat is the same phrase as «кола впн» ("kola vpn"): they have the same frequency, 10,662 impressions a month. Meanwhile, suggestions for "kola vpn" mix in Hola VPN, a long-standing service from Hola VPN Ltd that has nothing to do with Kola VPN.
The basic subscription costs 100 ₽ a month: the service announced this on August 6, 2026; before that a month cost 350 ₽. You get 24 hours free after registering by email, and after that time can be earned inside the bot.
Plans from the channel's pinned post as of October 26, 2026:
Extra devices, according to the post of August 6, are bought separately. There is no auto-renewal, according to the service. After the subscription ends, the bot and the sites keep working for another 2 days so you can renew it, then the VPN is cut off.
One detail worth keeping in mind. The pinned post is dated May 19, but it already shows the 100 ₽ price, even though the reduction to 100 ₽ was only announced in August. This means texts in the channel are edited retroactively, and you need to check the price in the bot before paying.
The tapping game is a mini-game in the account: each tap on the cap adds 9 to 60 seconds to the subscription, with a daily limit of 1,200 taps (data from the tgcola.app site). The service hands out promo codes in contests and through partners; there is no permanent public promo code.
Ways to get time for free that the service has announced in the channel:
Promo codes appear sporadically. For example, on September 10 a 14-day code with a limit of 10 activations was hidden in a video. Personal promo codes are given to partners. If someone in another channel offers you an "eternal Kola VPN promo code", it is most likely a referral link.
What all the mechanics have in common: big bonuses require either money from invited friends or posts about the service. Tapping earns you time, but not months.
There is nothing to download: COLA VPN has no app of its own. You sign up for a subscription in the bot or on the site, copy the key and add it to a client. The service itself maintains instructions for Happ and INCY.
Connection steps according to the service's instructions:
On a PC the scheme is the same: the site lists Windows and macOS, and the key goes into a desktop client. How the two main clients differ is covered in the comparison INCY or Happ, and what a VPN key is and how to store it is in the article on VPN keys.
The Cola VPN app on Google Play has nothing to do with this service. It is published by the VPN V2RAY account, and neither the bot @colavpnbot nor the site tgcola.app links to it. APKs from catalog sites named "Kola VPN" have certainly not been checked by anyone.
You can do without Telegram too: there is a web account with email login, and the service suggests adding it to your Home screen.
Most often the cause is one of three things: the subscription has ended, the client has an outdated key, or the client itself is glitching. For Happ, the service advises in its channel a full reset of the app and adding the key again, and if that doesn't help, switching to INCY.
What to check, in order:
General causes not tied to a specific service are collected in the article why a VPN isn't working.
It's hard to assess. The tgcola.app site has no privacy policy, no user agreement and no company details, the protocol isn't named, and there are no independent audits. This doesn't prove any problems, but there is nothing to verify the service's promises against.
What can be seen as of October 26, 2026:
Separately about the namesake on Google Play. In the "Data safety" section of the Cola VPN app, the developer stated that it may share device identifiers with third parties. The same developer account has published apps named «Щука ВПН» (Shchuka VPN), «Манго ВПН» (Mango VPN), "INCY VPN" and "Karing VPN".
We recommend BessyConnect to those who don't want to depend on a bot, a key and a third-party client. It is a standalone app, and the protocol is named openly: VLESS with Reality camouflage, which makes traffic look like an ordinary HTTPS connection. There are more than a hundred servers, no logs are kept, registration isn't required, and there is a trial period.
BessyConnect apps:
How BessyConnect differs from both services with "cola" in the name can be seen in the table.
| BessyConnect | COLA VPN (@colavpnbot) | ColaVPN (@colavpn_bot) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Format | An app in the App Store and Google Play | A bot and a key for someone else's client | A bot and a key for someone else's client |
| Protocol | VLESS with Reality camouflage | Not named | Hysteria2 and VLESS (according to the channel, 15.08.2026) |
| Registration | Not required | Telegram or email | Via the bot |
| Free | Trial period | 24 hours, tapping game, roulette | Tapping game for paying subscribers only |
| Windows | No | Yes, via a client | Not checked |
| TV | Android TV, Apple TV | Via a key in a client | Not checked |
| Logs | Not kept | No privacy policy on the site | Not checked |
Where COLA VPN is stronger, to put it plainly. The price in rubles is known in advance and is low, there is a way to use it on Windows, a web account without Telegram, and declared routing of Russian services outside the tunnel. Other services of the same generation are collected in the review of people's VPNs.
What BessyConnect won't solve. It has no Windows app, so on an ordinary PC it won't replace COLA VPN. BessyConnect is absent from the Russian App Store: for an iPhone you need an Apple ID from another country. When mobile internet is shut off under whitelists, a VPN as a rule doesn't help. And no VPN will return money paid to a lookalike bot.
If COLA VPN connects for you and the bot-and-key scheme suits you, there is no reason to switch. But if it has stopped working, or the lack of a privacy policy and company details bothers you, try BessyConnect: all versions are gathered on the download page.
Are Kol VPN and Kola VPN the same thing? Yes, these are the same search queries about COLA VPN. In Wordstat, «кол впн» and «кола впн» have the same frequency, 10,662 impressions a month; we didn't find a service called "Kol VPN".
Which Kola VPN bot is official? According to the pinned posts in the @cola_vpn channel, the official bot is @colavpnbot and support is @colavpn_sup. The bot @colavpn_bot with an underscore belongs to a different service, ColaVPN.
How much does Kola VPN cost? According to the service's channel as of October 26, 2026: 100 ₽ for 30 days, 250 ₽ for 90 days, 990 ₽ for a year. "Freedom mode" is paid separately, from 90 ₽ for 10 GB.
Does the Kola VPN tapping game really give you a free VPN? Yes, taps add 9 to 60 seconds to the subscription, with a limit of 1,200 taps a day. The biggest rewards require paying friends or videos about the service.
What can replace Kola VPN? If you need a VPN with its own app and a named protocol, we recommend BessyConnect: VLESS with Reality camouflage, more than 100 servers, no mandatory registration. It has no Windows app.
