Ulta VPN («Ульта ВПН») is a paid VPN service from the YuBoost («ЮБуст») team. Access and the key are issued by a Telegram bot, and you connect through the service's own apps: Android, Windows and «Ульта Лайт» (Ulta Lite) for iPhone. The bot gives new users a 30-day trial period, after which there is a subscription; on October 26, 2026, the ulta.team site said "VPN for 159 ₽". If you need a service with an openly named protocol, no registration and apps for iPhone, Mac, Apple TV and Android TV, we recommend BessyConnect. More about it below, but first let's go through what is known about Ulta from primary sources.
Ulta is a VPN subscription with its own servers and apps. The service's official Telegram channel calls itself a project "from the YuBoost team". The contractor under the public offer on the ulta.team site is the sole proprietor (IP) Kirill Aleksandrovich Zamolotskikh of Almaty, and the contract is governed by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The channel has been running since October 9, 2024, and as of October 26, 2026, it has 209 thousand subscribers. Telegram shows the bot you connect through with the label "102 916 monthly users". The service started out as a free "accelerator" for Discord and YouTube, which the channel's name still recalls: "access to Discord and YouTube for free". On December 28, 2025, the channel reported that all acceleration methods had been blocked, and since then the main product has been a paid VPN.
Ulta has a second legal entity. In the footer of the ulta.team site, Akhali LLC is listed next to the sole proprietor, and the same offer page has an English version of February 9, 2025, on behalf of the Georgian company LLC "AkhaliNet" of Tbilisi. The same AkhaliNet LLC is listed as the provider of the «Ульта Лайт» (Ulta Lite) app in the App Store.
Ulta belongs to the wave of services with short folk names. Their common features are covered in the review of people's VPNs: Tok, Tik, Ded, Vanya, Ogon.
No. "Ulta" is the YuBoost team's service. Products from other developers live under similar names, and Telegram has plenty of channels and bots with Ulta's name that the service doesn't recognize as its own. On August 18, 2026, the channel warned of clones "with our logo and name" and named only two bots as official: @ultaclub_bot and @ultabelbot.

The query «ультра впн» ("ultra vpn") in Yandex gets about 3 thousand impressions a month, but there is no single product with that name in the Russian storefronts. Its suggestions («ультра впн тг» ("ultra vpn tg"), «ключ» ("key"), «на пк» ("for pc")) match the suggestions for Ulta, so most likely some people are looking for it with a typo.
The only free part is the 30-day trial for new users; that's what the bot's description said on October 26, 2026. There is no permanent free plan at the moment. A month after the trial costs 159 ₽, and 99 ₽ for those who connected earlier.

Under the offer, the subscription renews automatically every 30 days if auto-renewal was turned on when signing up. The price is given in rubles. The offer allows the contractor to change the price unilaterally, so check the amount in the bot before paying.
Ulta hands out compensation for outages. After the failures on September 18 and 23 and October 15, 2026, the channel gave out promo codes for extra subscription days through a separate site.
There are official apps for Android (Google Play and APK), iPhone («Ульта Лайт» in the App Store) and Windows. In any case, the key is taken from the bot @ultaclub_bot. Check the bot's address character by character: clones differ by one letter or an underscore.
Android. On Google Play the app is called «Ульта VPN» (Ulta VPN), developer Ulta. As of October 26, 2026, it has more than 100 thousand downloads, a rating of 3.6 from 999 ratings, and the latest update on October 15, 2026. If Google Play won't open, the ulta.team download page has an APK file button: on October 26 it led to version 1.9.3.
iPhone and iPad. «Ульта Лайт» is in the Russian App Store, which is rare among VPNs. Version 1.5.1 of July 31, 2026, rating 3.1 from 235 ratings, requires iOS 16.6 or later. There is one oddity: the description calls the app a client for WireGuard and OpenVPN that accepts configuration "from any VPN provider". Yet in June 2026 Ulta's own channel wrote that OpenVPN and WireGuard are detected by signature and was moving to VLESS and AmneziaWG.
Computer. There is a Windows version: on September 23, 2026, the channel announced a new release with automatic protocol and server selection. There is no separate Mac app, but according to the App Store page, «Ульта Лайт» runs on Macs with an Apple M1 chip or later (macOS 13.5+), and on Apple TV with tvOS 17. Beware of lookalike sites. The site ultavpn.icu looks official, although its footer calls it an "independent information resource". The domain was registered on June 25, 2026. On October 26 its main "Connect" buttons led through a short link not to Ulta's bot but to the bot of a different service, «Дядя Ваня VPN» (Dyadya Vanya VPN), and with a referral tag at that. We have a review of that service too: Dyadya Vanya VPN. The figures on the lookalike ("50+ countries", "84,000 users", a rating of 4.5) are not confirmed by official sources.
Most often Ulta stops working because of server blocking, not because of your phone. Between September 18 and October 19, 2026, alone, the channel wrote about attacks and outages five times: on September 18 and 22 and October 14, 15 and 19. Some failures affected Windows, others the mobile apps. On October 15 the mobile Ulta didn't work for some users, full recovery was promised within 2–3 days, and on PC the service worked.
The channel explained the cause on September 9, 2026: now not individual addresses but entire subnets of 256 addresses are being blocked. What to do, in order:

Ulta has a public offer, visible sellers in two countries and pages in the stores, which is better than many "people's" VPNs. Its promises about data can't be verified: there is no independent audit, and the data sections in the two stores differ.
Reviews on Google Play are mixed. Some users praise its stability. Others write that since August 2026, with a paid subscription, the connection kept dropping, and on a computer it didn't connect at all. A rating of 3.6 on Google Play and 3.1 in the App Store confirms this.
Ulta is stronger where you need Windows, an iPhone with a Russian Apple ID or a separate service for whitelists. BessyConnect is stronger if Reality camouflage, working without registration, installation straight from the store and an Android TV app matter to you.
