There are two simple reasons to run a VPN on your iPhone and iPad. The first is blocking: some sites and services stop loading, and legacy protocols like PPTP, L2TP and even OpenVPN increasingly fail to get past DPI (deep packet inspection). The second is public Wi-Fi in cafés, airports and hotels, where your traffic can be intercepted with little effort.
On iOS the setup is especially convenient: the VPN profile is installed into the system itself, not into a single browser, so every app is protected at once — Safari, messengers, banking apps, streaming. You don't have to configure anything app by app.

Open the App Store, find the app via the link above, tap Get, and wait for it to install. Then launch BessyConnect from your Home Screen.
No separate registration is required. On the start screen, pick whichever sign-in method suits you:
One account works across all your devices at once, so you can later sign in the same way on iPad, Android or Android TV — your settings follow automatically.
The first time you connect, iOS will ask to add a VPN configuration — this is standard system behavior, not an error.
After that the profile is stored in the system and you won't be asked to confirm it again. A VPN badge lights up in the status bar at the top.
You pick the server right inside the app — no bots and no external setup.
You can change country any time in a couple of seconds: pick another one and reconnect. To turn the VPN off, tap the same button again — the status returns to Disconnected.
If the connection won't come up or the internet drops, one of the steps below almost always fixes it.
Several active VPN profiles conflict with each other. Go to Settings → General → VPN & Device Management, find leftover profiles from other services and delete them, keeping only BessyConnect.
iCloud Private Relay routes Safari traffic through Apple's servers and interferes with the VPN. Go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Private Relay and switch it off.
Connect On Demand makes iOS bring the VPN up automatically whenever you go online. If the connection behaves erratically, you can temporarily disable it in the profile's settings under VPN & Device Management, then switch it back on.
If the VPN works on Wi-Fi but not on mobile, check Settings → Cellular and make sure the toggle for BessyConnect is on.
When the status is stuck on "Connecting…", turn on Airplane Mode for 10 seconds, then turn it off — this resets the iOS network stack. If that doesn't help, close the app from the app switcher and reopen it.
On iPad it's exactly the same: you install the same app, "BessyConnect VPN Watch", from the App Store and sign in the same way (Apple, Google or email). The account is shared, so your server list and settings match what you have on iPhone.
Do I need to import a config or key manually? No. Everything is baked into the app — just sign in and tap connect.
Why does iOS ask for a passcode or Face ID on first launch? That's how the system protects adding any VPN profile. It's a one-time confirmation when the BessyConnect profile is installed.
Does the VPN drop when my iPhone sleeps? iOS may suspend background connections. Open the app again and it reconnects. Keeping Connect On Demand enabled also improves stability.
Does BessyConnect work in the background for all apps? Yes. The profile is installed at the system level, so traffic from every app goes through the VPN, not just the browser.
