System requirements

  • iPhone or iPad running iOS / iPadOS 16.6 or later.
  • Apple Watch running watchOS 9.6 or later — installed from the same App Store app.
  • An Apple ID from a country where the app is available: it isn't in the Russian App Store.

How to install the VPN on iPhone

  1. 1Tap “Download on the App Store” on this page to open BessyConnect in the App Store.
  2. 2Tap “Get” and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your Apple ID password.
  3. 3Open BessyConnect and tap the connect button. On first launch iOS asks to add VPN configurations — tap “Allow” and enter your passcode.
  4. 4Pick a server from the list or keep the suggested one.
  5. 5The VPN icon in the status bar means the secure connection is up.

Honest limitations

  • The app isn't available in the Russian App Store: a Russian Apple ID won't find it, so you'll need an account from another country. Why, and what to do.
  • If your carrier shuts down mobile internet completely, no VPN can work — there's simply no connection to run through.
