Ded Proxy (in Russian, «Дед Proxy») is the new name of Ded VPN («Дед ВПН»): the official site ded-go.com says plainly that the service and the team are the same. It is a paid VPN with no registration from Dedushka Development FZCO of Dubai: a month costs 249 rubles, a year 1,643 rubles, and one subscription works on one device. There are apps for Android (an APK from the site), iPhone and iPad (App Store, but not in the Russian region), Windows, Mac and Android TV, where it is called «Дедуля ВПН» (Dedulya VPN).
Below: where to download it so as not to install a fake, how much a subscription costs as of October 23, 2026, what the "Ded Uskoritel" charge on your statement is and what to do if Ded won't connect. If you need one VPN for iPhone, Mac, Android and a TV, installed from official stores, we recommend BessyConnect: it runs on VLESS with Reality camouflage and doesn't require registration either.
Ded VPN (now Ded Proxy) is a VPN service with its own servers and apps for Android, iPhone and iPad, Windows, Mac and Android TV televisions. The operator, according to the public offer and the privacy policy, is Dedushka Development FZCO, registered in the Dubai Silicon Oasis free zone, UAE (license 63879).
An account is created automatically on first launch: no email, phone number or password is needed, and the service stores a random device identifier. As of October 23, 2026, the official Telegram channel @ded_tg had about 430 thousand subscribers.
| Parameter | What is known |
|---|---|
| Registration | Not needed; the account is tied to the device identifier |
| Phones and tablets | Android 7 or later (a 32.2 MB APK from the site), iPhone and iPad (App Store, iOS 16.2+, not in the Russian region) |
| Computers | Windows 10 and 11; Mac on macOS 14 or later, Apple Silicon and Intel |
| TV | Android TV and Google TV — the Dedulya VPN app on Google Play |
| Devices per subscription | One; moving it to another device goes through support |
| Servers | The Netherlands and Germany (according to the privacy policy), number not disclosed |
| Protocol and encryption | Not disclosed; the site only says "Connection secured" |
| Modes | "Smart mode": Russian sites and banks go directly, only selected traffic goes through the VPN |
| Operator | Dedushka Development FZCO, UAE |
The table is compiled from the ded-go.com pages (home page, pricing, download pages for each platform, privacy policy) as of October 23, 2026.
Yes. The service changed its name from "Ded VPN" to "Ded Proxy"; this is stated in the questions section on ded-go.com: "The team and the service are the same". Despite the word Proxy, it is neither a proxy for Telegram nor a browser extension but a full VPN app: it encrypts all of the device's traffic.
In the App Store the official app is called «Дед Proxy: Турбо ВПН» (Ded Proxy: Turbo VPN), and the seller listed there is Trusted Computing LTD, not the Dubai company. On Google Play for TVs it is Dedulya VPN from i-deduce limited. The service's site calls both apps its own. Different legal entities in the stores and in the public offer are a reason to read carefully whom you are paying.
The support page names these official resources: the site ded-go.com, Ded Proxy in the App Store, Dedulya VPN on Google Play, the channel @ded_tg, support @dedproxy_help and the email help@ded.team. The address dedproxy.com redirects to the mirror ded911.com.
If what you need is specifically a proxy for one messenger rather than a VPN for the whole device, the difference is covered in the article proxy or VPN.
All official downloads start from the ded-go.com site: on Android it is an APK file, on Windows and Mac installers, on iPhone a link to the App Store. Ded isn't on Google Play for phones; there is only the TV version, Dedulya VPN. Downloading the app is free; using it requires a subscription.
| Platform | Where to install from | What you need to know |
|---|---|---|
| Android | A 32.2 MB APK from ded-go.com | Android 7 or later; you have to allow installation from unknown sources |
| iPhone and iPad | App Store, «Дед Proxy: Турбо ВПН» (Ded Proxy: Turbo VPN) | Not in the Russian region; the site advises switching the Apple ID region to Kazakhstan |
| Windows | A 97.9 MB installer, version 3.1.27 | Windows 10 and 11; the publisher in the installation window is DEDUSHKA DEVELOPMENT - FZCO |
| Mac | A 15.4 MB .dmg file, version 3.6.0 | macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple Silicon (M1–M4) and Intel |
| TV | Google Play, Dedulya VPN | Android TV and Google TV only |
Installing from an APK means updates won't arrive automatically: you will have to download each new version by hand, and take the file only from the official site. "Cracked" builds from file-sharing sites are someone else's APKs that nobody has checked; why they are dangerous is covered in the article hacked VPN (mod APK).
On iPhone, as of October 23, 2026, the app in the Kazakhstan App Store is at version 4.0 of October 21, with a rating of 4.6 from 3,127 reviews. To install it from Russia you will have to change your Apple ID region. What to do if the app you need has disappeared from the store is covered in the article VPN disappeared from the App Store.
On a computer Ded works like an ordinary program: install it, press "Connect". How to choose a VPN for a PC in general is described in the article VPN on PC.
As of October 23, 2026, the Russian App Store has three apps with the word «Дед» (Ded) in the name: «Дед ВПН: Изменения сайтов» (Ded VPN: Website changes), «Дед VPN: Передача файлов» (Ded VPN: File transfer) and «Дед ВПН: MQTT клиент» (Ded VPN: MQTT client). All were uploaded on October 14–17 by developers unconnected to the service. On October 21 the official channel @ded_tg warned that these are fakes: they copy the icon and screenshots and even label themselves "Official app".
The real Ded Proxy isn't in the Russian App Store; it is installed after changing the Apple ID region. How to recognize a fake is described in the article fake VPN apps.
«Дедуля ВПН: VPN на телевизор» (Dedulya VPN: VPN for TV) is the official Ded Proxy app for Android TV and Google TV. The service announced it in the @ded_tg channel on October 12, 2026. The site says outright: "On Google Play the app is called 'Dedulya VPN' — that's us".
It is installed from Google Play on the TV itself or from a phone: on the app page you choose your TV in the list of devices. The developer in the store is i-deduce limited; as of October 23, 2026, the app has more than 10 thousand downloads and a rating of 3.6 from 103 reviews.
The app works on TVs and set-top boxes with Android TV and Google TV: Xiaomi, TCL, Hisense, Haier, Sony, Philips, Mi TV Stick, Chromecast with Google TV. Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) are not supported; for them the service advises connecting an Android box. Dedulya VPN can't be installed on a phone; there you need the regular Ded Proxy. How to set up a VPN on a TV in general is covered in the article VPN on Android TV.
A month is 249 rubles, three months 575 rubles, a year 1,643 rubles, that is, 137 rubles a month. There is no free plan, and the "7 days for 10 rubles" trial has been closed to new subscriptions since April 2026.
| Term | Price | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| 1 month | 249 rubles | 249 rubles |
| 3 months | 575 rubles | 192 rubles |
| 1 year | 1,643 rubles | 137 rubles |
Prices are as of October 23, 2026, according to the ded-go.com pricing page and the public offer; the offer stipulates that they may change.
Payment is by Visa, Mastercard and MIR cards, and the subscription renews automatically. All features are the same on every plan; the only difference is the term. The main limitation is one subscription per device: for a phone and a computer you will have to buy two.
If your bank statement has a line like "DED USKORITEL DUBAI ARE" and you use Ded, it is most likely a subscription payment. Indirect signs point to this: the service's operator is registered in Dubai, "ARE" is the country code of the UAE, and the public offer describes the service as a means of protection and of "speeding up and optimizing the internet connection" ("uskoritel" is Russian for "accelerator"). The service doesn't officially publish the name of the payee, so this is an assumption, not a confirmed fact.
Compare the amount with the plans: 249, 575 or 1,643 rubles (for those who took out the trial week before April 2026, 10 rubles, followed by auto-renewal for a month). If it matches, follow these steps:
The service promises 99.95% monthly availability and compensation in credits for downtime, but separately stipulates that it doesn't guarantee operation in specific countries. Credit on request: 10% of the monthly cost if availability falls below 99.95%, and 30% below 99%.
According to the privacy policy, the service doesn't collect browsing history, traffic content, IP addresses, session times and durations, or DNS queries. The device identifier is stored for the duration of the subscription and for 12 months after it. The servers, according to the service, run only in RAM, without writing to disk. No independent audit has been published on the site, so all of this is the operator's claims.
The refund terms are described differently in two places on the site. On the pricing page: "If the service didn't suit you, write to support, we'll look into it and decide fairly". The public offer gives more specific grounds: the service didn't work through the company's fault, a double or erroneous charge, or you never connected within 7 days of payment. Legally, the offer is what applies.
The service had a major outage on June 2–7, 2026: according to posts in the @ded_tg channel, Windows, Android and iOS were restored one after another, the service moved to new servers, and every user was credited 5 days of subscription. At normal times the causes are simpler.
If that didn't help, write to support at @dedproxy_help with your account ID. The general troubleshooting order is in the article why a VPN isn't working. Apps of the same type are covered in the review of people's VPNs.
We recommend BessyConnect to those who need one VPN for a phone, tablet, Mac and TV, installed from the App Store and Google Play rather than from an APK. It runs on VLESS with Reality camouflage: the traffic looks like ordinary HTTPS. No registration is needed, no logs are kept, there are more than 100 servers, and there is a trial period.
| Ded Proxy | BessyConnect | |
|---|---|---|
| Protocol | Not disclosed | VLESS with Reality camouflage |
| Registration | Not needed | Not needed |
| Logs | Not kept, according to the service's policy | Not kept |
| Servers | The Netherlands and Germany, number not disclosed | More than 100 |
| Android phone | APK from the site | Google Play |
| iPhone, iPad, Mac | Yes | Yes |
| Apple TV | Not listed on the site | Yes |
| Android TV | Dedulya VPN | Yes |
| Windows | Has an app | No app |
| Trial period | Closed to new users since April 2026 | Available |
Where Ded is stronger: it has a Windows app, and BessyConnect doesn't. If you need a VPN primarily on a Windows computer, Ded covers that task and BessyConnect doesn't.
What neither Ded nor BessyConnect will solve: a VPN won't get your money back for an unclear charge (that is a question for support and the bank) and doesn't guarantee it will work on every network. If you have an iPhone and are in Russia, keep in mind: BessyConnect, like Ded, isn't in the Russian App Store, and you need an Apple ID from another country.
Download BessyConnect:
