Perets VPN («Перец ВПН» in Russian, "pepper") is a paid VPN service from Telegram: the subscription is sold by the bot @perec or the web dashboard perec.app, and you connect through the Happ app. Since October 10, 2026 there has been no free plan; the cheapest plan, Lite, costs 89 rubles a month for one device and 9 GB a day (perec.app dashboard, October 26, 2026). The service has no app of its own in the App Store, Google Play or RuStore.
Perets is young but noticeable. The perec.app domain was registered on February 9, 2026, the bot opened on February 18, and by the end of October, according to Telegram's counter, it had 117 thousand monthly users. Below are the plans, the official addresses, the lookalikes with similar names and what to do when Perets stops connecting.
If you need a VPN that installs from an official store and doesn't depend on a Telegram bot, we recommend BessyConnect: the VLESS protocol with Reality camouflage, no logs are kept, registration isn't required.
Perets is a subscription seller: you pay for a plan in the bot or the dashboard and get a subscription link, which you open in Happ or another compatible client. The servers belong to Perets; the app you connect with is a third-party one.
The service's official addresses as of October 26, 2026:
| What | Address | What's there |
|---|---|---|
| Bot | @perec | Purchases and renewals, 117,171 monthly users |
| Channel | @vpn_perec (also @perecvpn) | «Перец 🌶️ Обновления» (Perets 🌶️ Updates), 31,646 subscribers, running since February 17, 2026 |
| Web dashboard | perec.app | Email sign-in, plans, devices, subscription link |
| Support | @help_perec | «Аркадий Перец» (Arkady Perets), customer care service |
The service doesn't name a legal entity. The user agreement on perec.app names neither a company nor a sole proprietor, only the email info@perec.io and the support account. The perec.app domain was registered through Namecheap and sits behind Cloudflare.
What not to confuse it with. At least three unrelated products live under the "pepper" name:
Check addresses against the description of the @vpn_perec channel: it lists only @perec, perec.app and @help_perec. How to tell a copy from the original in a store is covered in the article on fake VPN apps.
There is no free plan anymore: on September 19, 2026 the channel announced that it would be switched off on October 10. Four paid plans are now available, billed monthly or yearly.
Prices from the public plan list in the perec.app dashboard as of October 26, 2026:
| Plan | Per month | Per year | What's included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | 89 rubles | 900 rubles | 1 device, 9 GB of traffic a day |
| Plus | 239 rubles | 2,438 rubles | Up to 4 devices, dedicated servers, YouTube without ads |
| Premium | 349 rubles | 3,560 rubles | Up to 7 devices, whitelist mode, priority support |
| Family | 569 rubles | 5,804 rubles | Up to 4 family members, shared subscription |
You can pay by card in the web dashboard; the bot also accepts Telegram Stars (this isn't available in the web version, as the dashboard states outright).
Before switching off the free plan, Perets sold "lifetime" access: from 890 rubles for Lite to 6,990 rubles for Premium. According to the dashboard, the "plan forever" promotion closed on October 25, 2026, although the post promised it only until October 10. Those who managed to buy it should remember: "forever" means the lifetime of the service itself, which is less than a year old.
You can still get free days. Since March 8, 2026 there has been a "Friends" system: for each friend you invite you get a ticket to a roulette with a subscription of 1 to 30 days. The "Perets 2.0" update of June 6 added daily tasks with "cases" of free days.
As of October 26 the channel description still invites people to "use it for free". That is left over from the old terms.
Perets has no client of its own yet; the subscription is opened in Happ. In March 2026 the channel reported that the team was building its own VPN client, but as of October 26 we found no Perets app in the App Store, Google Play or RuStore.
How to connect:
Installing Happ has its difficulties. Happ can't be found in the Russian App Store (catalog check on October 26, 2026), but it is in the US one: Happ - Proxy Utility, version 6.1.0 of October 14. On Google Play Happ is available, with more than 10M installs.
Perets VPN on PC. Perets has no separate desktop program. The dashboard distinguishes Windows, macOS and Linux devices, and the subscription opens in Happ for Windows and Mac: where to get it and how to set it up is covered in the piece on Happ on PC. You don't need an Android emulator for this.
Router. Since June 2026 Perets has been connecting routers: the dashboard has a section for ordering a router with delivery tracking, and the channel promised "one subscription — unlimited devices" at home. The dashboard shows the router price only after you log in; we haven't checked it.
The most common cause in October 2026 is that the free plan has ended: since October 10 the subscription doesn't work without payment. If you are paying, check the subscription, refresh it in Happ and change the location, in that order.
Step by step:
If mobile internet has been shut off under whitelists, any VPN's promises should be treated with caution. Perets sells a separate mode for this on Premium, but we haven't tested it. How such shutdowns work and what actually works under them is covered in the article on mobile internet whitelists. Other causes are collected in the breakdown why a VPN isn't working.
There is no independent audit of Perets, and the service's documents raise more questions than they answer. The owning company isn't named, and the privacy policy refers to an "Agency Agreement" that isn't published on the site.
What the perec.app privacy policy says (October 26, 2026):
These documents contain no separate promise not to keep connection logs. The user agreement mentions the site perec.pro rather than perec.app, which looks like a template carried over from another project.
Another risk is giveaways. The channel regularly gives away iPhones and TVs and asks winners to write to @help_perec to claim the prize. If someone messages you "from Perets" from a different account and asks you to pay for prize delivery, it isn't the service. We covered similar Telegram services in our roundup of people's VPNs.
Perets is cheaper than many alternatives: 89 rubles for Lite and 239 rubles for four devices on Plus, and there is a family plan and routers. The weak points are its dependence on the bot and on third-party Happ, the absence of a legal entity, and abrupt changes of terms over eight months of operation.

The data on «Сота ВПН» (Sota VPN) and «Дед ВПН» (Ded VPN) is taken from our Sota VPN and Ded VPN reviews, where it is given according to the VPN Status and Toolfox catalogs.
We recommend BessyConnect to those who don't want to depend on a Telegram bot and someone else's client. The VLESS protocol with Reality camouflage makes the traffic look like ordinary HTTPS. There are more than a hundred servers, no logs are kept, registration isn't required, and there is a trial period. The connection and the servers are in one app from the store.
Let's be direct about where Perets is stronger. Its subscription can be opened on Windows via Happ, and BessyConnect has no Windows app. Perets has a family plan and a router for the whole home.
BessyConnect apps:
What neither BessyConnect nor any VPN solves. When mobile internet is shut off under whitelists, a VPN as a rule doesn't help. BessyConnect can't be installed on a Windows computer yet. The BessyConnect app isn't in the Russian App Store; on iPhone you need an Apple ID from another country. A detailed comparison is in the article BessyConnect and other VPNs.
If Perets works for you and the price suits you, there's no reason to switch. If you're looking for a replacement after the free plan was cancelled, or don't want to keep your subscription in a bot, try BessyConnect: all versions are gathered on the download page.
Is Perets VPN free? No, the free plan was switched off on October 10, 2026. The cheapest plan, Lite, costs 89 rubles a month; free days are given for invited friends and daily tasks.
What is the official Perets VPN site? The web dashboard perec.app, the bot @perec, the channel @vpn_perec and support @help_perec. The site peppervpn.com and the «Перец ВПН» app on Google Play belong to other developers.
Can I download Perets VPN on an iPhone? There is no separate app; the subscription is opened in Happ. As of October 26, 2026 Happ can't be found in the Russian App Store, so you need an Apple ID from another country.
Is there Perets VPN for PC? There is no desktop program of its own, but the subscription works in Happ for Windows and macOS. Get the subscription link in the perec.app dashboard.
What can I use instead of Perets VPN? If you don't want to depend on a bot and Happ, try BessyConnect: VLESS with Reality camouflage, no logs, registration not required, apps in the App Store and Google Play. BessyConnect has no Windows version.
